Jonathan Nelson

Oregon-born, Jonathan started Conifer Energy Partners with the goal of bringing the benefits of solar energy to landowners and their communities. Aside from developing renewable energy projects, Jonathan’s 16 year energy career also spans energy commodities research and analytics, utility demand-side management consulting, and clean-tech.

Jonathan is a family man who enjoys mountain biking and exploring the PNW, and finds himself in the woods every fall chasing elk.

About Us

Conifer has been developing solar projects in the PNW since 2017 and to date has participated in over 46 megawatts of solar installations. We have experience in land origination, grid interconnection analysis, solar land use permitting, and project investment financing.

Conifer has played a key role in enabling community solar in Oregon via its development activities and policy involvement.
